FAQ - Frequently Answered Questions about Boulder Panic! Questions answered here:
Go to the Download page, and download Microsoft's Visual Basic 6.0 runtimes, and install them. Did you install them properly? Also - did you DOWNLOAD the game? (for anyone who thinks that's a joke, or cruel statement - it actually happened! Someone was trying to play the game by clicking on the pictures in the screenshots section!) Contact me, and tell me more about your problem. Email me at: midryder@intcon.net Quite a few things, really. Sound, better graphics (both the sound and graphics are also replaceable!), the author listens to you when you request a new idea, the full blown level editor (in the full game, it's a separate program, with a MUCH better interface), no shareware nags, better interface design, a couple of bug fixes, and whatever else people who have registered are requesting for the game! Boulder Panic! is 12.50 for most purchasers. If you are wanting to buy multiple copies (more than 20), or are and educator, contact me directly ( midryder@intcon.net) for better pricing for Boulder Panic! Careful - that's a landmine. Remember when you loaded the level and it complained about there being landmines - well, you just found one. They cannot be removed. Once you remove the piece on top of them, they go BOOM! The tutorial in the demo is only for the major demo game items. Those items only show up in Challenge levels. Did you register? If not, please do - I will listen to, but probably not implement new ideas from people who haven't registered. Sorry, but, it's one of the prices of registration. PLUS - there will be NO NEW FEATURES ADDED TO THE DEMO. Even if I did implement what you suggest, you'd never get to play with it unless you register! If you have registered, or are planning on it, or are just brave, email me your suggestions at: midryder@intcon.net! First off, Boulder Panic! is pretty cheap already - $12.50. Secondly, it would be the same as walking into your favorite software store, telling them you can't afford a program and asking for it for free. I'll give you the same answer they would: No. Boulder Panic! Math is a new game based off of Boulder Panic! geared towards teaching children math, increasing thier speed and accuracy, and teaching logic. It's still under development - look for more information soon. Yes. As mentioned above, there's Boulder Panic! Math that I'm working on. I also am working on Boulders: 2048, a complete update to the Boulder Dash idea (instead of a normal re-hash of the same game. This one will be wildly different!) After Boulders: 2048, there are a couple of different projects I may take on, depending on which one I feel is going to be the most fun for me. I might also contact all of the people who registered Boulder Panic!, and let them vote! Alas, but no. I am a computer programmer / system administrator / MMI(/HMI/SCADA( designer & programmer, Network design, installation & troubleshooting / Walking Technical Reference Manual for a living. (Put THAT on a resume ;-) I would *LOVE* to design games for a living. Who knows - maybe 3 or 4 more games down the road, that could happen! But for now, I have only between the hours of 5PM and 3AM (When I finally go to sleep) to work on Boulder Panic!, Boulder Panic! Math, Boulders: 2048, and whatever else I feel like working on at the time. Gee, if you have tons of front money laying arround, I could live off that and start a game development company! (Ok, I'll quit dreaming now! ) |
